Objective

Student
- will be familiar with the multiform study environment
- will be familiar with the key guidelines, rules and study practices of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
- will be able to use common programs and systems needed in studies
- will be able to produce factual text that conveys, spesifies and reflects information
- will be able to search and evaluate information critically and use it purposefully
- will have an understanding of key principles of data protection and security
- will be familiar with the service system and guidance documents of ECE
- will be aware of Basics of early childhood education (VASU) and a holistic planning of activities

- Physical, social and digital study environments
- Key guidelines and rules when studying at a university of applied sciences
- Library services and basics of data acquisition
- Digital learning and working tools and information systems used in studies
- Principles of professional writing
- Use and critical evaluation of sources and references
- Data protection and security
- Basics of early childhood education (VASU), other guidance documents and a holistic planning of activities
- Service system of early childhood education
