Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students are able to:
• identify male body dimensions and measures.
• identify the sizes and body types from a sizing chart.
• design men's clothing using tabulated body measurements.
• shape and do fittings on men's clothing and amend the fit of a garment through pattern making
• identify high-quality, well-fitting men's clothing.
• make technical instructions for industrial manufacturing.
• place measures for sample size according to samples and patterns.
Content
Industrial working practices for men's casual clothing. Men's body dimensions, measurements, and standardized tables. Patterns and sizing of men's casual clothing. Searching for a good fit through fittings and making changes in the patterns. Relevant measurement points for pattern making are set for the garment description. The basic size is determined according ready-to-wear garments and patterns.
