Objective

The objective is to familiarize the student with information, marketing and advertising in event production. The basics of information work are taught with the aid of literature, lectures and exercises in information-related writing. Students are also familiarized with the means of information and marketing and the compiling of indexes for information purposes. The section on marketing initiates students into the basic concepts of marketing, means of competition, segmentation, target-group thinking, market analysis and the planning of marketing with the aid of literature, lectures and exercises.

The student will have a command of preparing and realizing the information plan required in event production. The student will be able to create and manage the media contacts required in the producer/cultural manager’s work. The student will be able to prepare the marketing plan required in event production, in addition to being familiar with the basic concepts of marketing and understanding the significance of marketing and commercialization in event production.
