Objective
The students can after completing this course utilize computer aided design and understand the features of the most common cad systems. Students are able to produce, read, and analyze drawings. The main focus is on 2D-design but the basics of 3D-design are also introduced. The students can after completing the course use the most widely used design program AutoCAD.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Has knowledge on the central characteristics of CAD systems and is able to utilize them in design work. Is able to produce usable documentation. Can create simple 3D models.

Has knowledge on the central characteristics of CAD systems and is able to utilize them in design work. Is able to produce usable documentation, which is according to the main design standards. Can create simple 3D models and documentation from them.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Has a deep knowledge of the features of the cad systems and is able to utilize them in design work efficiently. Is able to produce design documentation according to the major design standards. Is able to create model complex 3D models, and produce documentation from the models.

Evaluation based on returned & accepted assignments and finally in proficiency test.
