Objective
On completion of the course the student can analyse an electric circuit in time and frequency space. The student understands how transients propagete on electric systems.
Content
Transients in electric circuits
· Step and impulse responses
· Transfer functions
· Zeroes and poles
· System stability
· Filters
· Use of Laplace transform in the analysis of electric circuits
· Fourier transform
· Use of computer programs
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The student is familiar with calculation methods and network transforms used in circuit analysis.
The student can solve basic problems using the methods of circuit analysis.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The student can apply calculation methods of circuit analysis to the problems of electric circuits.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student masters the calculation methods of circuit analysis and is able to use them in dimensioning and planning tasks of electric circuits.
