Evaluation methods and criteria

• See a separate framework for evaluation.
• When evaluating the competences, the evaluation criteria for competent/intermediate level is used.
• Execution of the Thesis Work will be evaluated: passed/failed.
• The Thesis Work will be evaluated at the end of the process.
• A separate framework for evaluation is used. The evaluation of the study unit emphasizes knowledge base and ethical approach as well as cooperation in particular.

Degree regulations 36 §:
Assessment is carrided out during four weeks after course is ended.

Student workload

5 cr (135 hrs)
• Self-study, work in small groups
• Accepted Execution of the Thesis Work
• Active participation in work-shops.

• Contract and permit procedures
• Source criticism in information seeking and critical reading (in Finnish and in English)
• Further developing working methods and research methods
• Designing and presenting the execution of the thesis
• Workshops: methods, guided writing,data acquisition.

Teaching methods

Student's independent work, group-/personal supervision, workshops.
Students must confirm their attendance for a course implementation by being present when tuition begins or in another manner agreed with the lecturer; for example, by returning the first course assignment. Students who are unable to attend the first teaching session due to illness may also confirm their attendance by informing the lecturer of this in advance.
