MORE INFORMATION: Drama Education is a method to help client groups to explore important issues in a safe group environment. Drama is a physical, dialogic and social art form that can also help the group to articulate and explore issues that are meaningful and important to them. In the workshop, we study how facilitators can help the group to define their individual and group learning objectives for the drama. We study also methods to build safe and productive group dynamics and how to animate and empower different client groups of social work. Drama is an integrated subject of art that can combine elements of visual expression, poetry, making movies or animations, dance and music, paper technologies etc. This helps facilitator identify the most suitable methods for different situations, groups and individuals with different skills and capacities.
In the music workshops we look at different working methods of using music mainly through practical exercises. The workshops provide skills to use music with different client groups and introduce instrument guidance. With the help of Figurenotes anyone will be able to play music. At the end of the course we will visit Special Music Center Resonaari which has a music school for disabled people and specializes in cultural social work. Previous knowledge or skills in music are not required.
