Objective

Students know the symptoms of key neurological diseases found in Finland, models and recommendations of clinical examination and neurological treatment, as well as prevention and rehabilitation of neurological diseases.

Content

Pain disorders, headaches, dizziness and paralysis, diseases affecting sensory functions, their diagnosis and treatment, diseases affecting motor functions, their diagnosis and treatment, the most common medications and their effects on functioning

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students use the appropriate core concepts as well as make choices using the knowledge base of their own professional field. They recognise the prerequisites and consequences of their own actions.

Students’ actions follow the rules and instructions given, and they use working methods appropriately and safely.
