Learning outcomes

Student are able to explain the movement of the temporomandibular joint from the perspective of anatomy. Student describes the muscles of the head and their location and function. Student can name the cranial nerves that innervate these muscles. He are familiar with the anatomy of the lower limbs and are able to explain the function of the lower limb based on anatomical properties. Student apply the kinetic chain model to describe the function of the lower limb. He knows how to use professional terminology. Students are able to observe the position of the body and posture as well as document the findings obtained by observation. They can combine anatomical knowledge with palpation.

Content

Temporomandibular joint. Muscles of mastification and facial expression and their nerves. Professional terminology. Theory of posture and observation of different postures. Weight bearing. Localisation of structures and muscles on the surface. Course containes 2 cr of practice.
