Objective
Students describe operating environments of prosthetics and orthotics. Students define how the vision and strategies of business activities in the work community regulate the decision-making and actions. Students work goal-orientedly with the other actors of the work community. Students are familiar with the concept of life-long learning and reflection and understand their significance as methods of work and professional growth. Students evaluate the quality of their work and its effectiveness. Students work as skilled employees and are familiar with the job description and tasks of managers. Students are familiar with the collective labour agreement and other agreements, regulations and practices of the workplace. Students determine factors affecting welfare at work and maintain their own wellbeing.
Content
Work environments of prosthetics and orthotics. Vision and strategies in regulating activities. Goal-oriented teamwork based on agreements. Life-long learning and reflection. Dimensions of developing expertise. Approach to effective and good quality work. Skills and tasks of employees/managers. Agreements, regulations, practices of the workplace. Staff/Students’ roles as promoters of welfare of the work community.
