Learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student will be familiar with his/her physical and social study environment. The student will know the key guidelines, rules and study practices of Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
The student will be familiar with the structure of the curriculum and know how to plan his/her studies and the progress of the studies.
The student will recognize his/her strengths and development targets, and know how to develop his/her learning and studying skills.
The student will be familiar with the student services as well as the key information systems of Metropolia. The student will be familiar with his/her career opportunities and know how to improve his/her competence in international affairs.

Student workload

The weekly working hours of a student is 1,5 cr which is equivalent to 40 hours of studies. 40 hours is formed from approx. 17 hours of contact studies with a lecturer. The remaining hours is spent by independent literature survey or practical work. 1 credit (cr) is equivalent to 27 hours (h).

Approved:
Student attends the contact teaching and does the given tasks.
After completing this course, student is familiar with their physical and social study environment. Student knows the key guidelines, rules and study practices of Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
Student is familiar with the structure of the curriculum and knows how to plan studies and the progress of studies.
Student recognizes his/her strengths and development targets and know how to develop learning and studying skills.
Student is familiar with the student services as well as the key information systems of Metropolia.
Student is familiar with his/her career opportunities and knows how to improve competence in international affairs.
