Objective
On completion of the course, the student will be able to perform basic calculations, to use basic elements of financial calculus related to event production and to use at least one spreadsheet calculation program. The student will understand the principles for drafting a budget. The student will be able to generate a realistic budget based on a production plan using suitable sources of information. The student will be motivated to study and run economic administration.

The student can use a calculation program as a tool in basic economic administration. He/she knows the basic principles of budgeting and can formulate and argument a budget for cultural event.

The student uses a spreadsheet calculation program as a tool in economic administration. In addition, the student can apply the possibilities of a calculation program in his/her work. He/she can draft a realistic and concrete budget for a cultural event using relevant sources of information. The student can evaluate budgeting of a cultural event and knows about the potential risk effects when drafting and evaluating a budget.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student has good skills in using a spreadsheet calculation program and can use it as a tool in economic administration. In addition, the student can apply the possibilities of a calculation program effectively in his/her work. He/she can draft a realistic and concrete budget for a cultural event using relevant sources of information. The student can evaluate critically budgeting of a cultural event and take into account potential risk effects when drafting and evaluating a budget.
