Learning outcomes

After finishing the course, the student will be familiar with the textile raw materials: terms, production methods, qualities, finishing methods as well as care and washing instructions. Student recognizes the most important textile structures. The student will be able to choose the appropriate raw materials for his/her own textile.
After the course the student will understand the different stages of textile product planning process and the idea of a complete process (from idea to product).She will master the ideation process and will be able to design textile products from different starting points for different target groups and using several design methods. (S)he will understand the principles of concept design and the industrial production process in textile industry. The student will know how to apply theory into practical design projects and masters the professional presentation.
