Learning outcomes

The students know the physical basis of sound and image recording. They know the fundamentals of lighting and cinematographic storytelling and the narrative roles of sound. The students know how to observe sound and image from technological and narrative point of view. The students can use an image processing program and basic camera and sound equipment. The students can edit a short shot sequence and master the workflow of image and sound material from shooting phase to editing, sound post-production and release print. The students know key working environments and job descriptions in typical audiovisual productions.

Participating to lectures min 100% , in case of sickness 20 % absence is approved, possible extra written assigments to cover absence

Students have acceptable participation in class and complete the assignments to a satisfactory standard. They can use graphics software and basic camera and sound equipment to a satisfactory standard. They acquainted with the workflow from shooting to editing, sound post-production, and to release print. They know the key work environments in audiovisual productions.

Students actively participate in class and complete the assignments to a good standard. They can use graphics software and basic camera and sound equipment to a good standard.
