Fundamentals of Content Creation (5 ECTS)

Objective

Screenwriting:
The student knows storytelling conventions in film and television. The student knows classical story structure and how to apply it to film and tv storytelling. The student knows main dramaturgical concepts related to classical structure. The student can analyse content and dramaturgy of a story. The student can justify their narrative decisions. The student knows the relationship of documentary structure to classical fictional story. The student can develop content for and plan execution of an exercise production.

Production:

The student knows both film and television production process from script breakdown to finished film. The student knows the importance of team work and communication in a production. The student knows main professional roles and their job descriptions. The student knows the production practices in school context.

Screenwriting:

- lead character's arc's significance in a story
- character archetypes
- key terminology of film and tv storytelling
- developing an own script idea

Production Management:
