Learning outcomes
The students become familiar with the principles of setting up an enterprise. The students are able to evaluate the feasibility of their business idea. The students know the fundamentals of the economic management of the company, the key taxation policies and statutory obligations. The students understand the responsibilities involved in a supervisory position and can understand supervisory models of behavior and interrelated principles. The students are able to analyze and develop interpersonal skills at work both as an employee and a superior.

Course unit has two parts: Managerial Skills (2 cr) and Entrepreneurship (3 cr). Entrepreneurship is conducted as network based learning with other degree programmes in Media.

Further information for students
The course requires at least 80% attendance. The procedure for replacing the absence is agreed with the teacher in charge of the course unit. The schedule of the course can be found in Lukkari. All parts of the course must be completed successfully.
