Objective
The objective is to identify and show one´s own competence, to develop it in partnership based on multi-professionalism. Furthermore, a professional culture should be created, in which students, teachers, workforce representatives and clients participate in development processes and decision-making in collaboration and in a responsible way.
Equally, collaborative learning, agreement and commitment are seen as modes of operation. Practical and creative solutions are created as well as services to meet the multi-faceted needs of the residents of the Helsinki metropolitan area. Participation in regional, national and international development work is learned. This requires project and networking skills.
Content
Areas of community development competence: process competence, competence in coordination and management and competence in reformation of development concepts.
Principles of project work: planning, implementation, evaluation, communication, publication, branding and marketing.
