The student recognizes and is able to describe the role of a designer in urban planning. The student is able to utilize essential knowledge of urban design and urban design strategies. The student masters the use of key concepts and participatory methods for urban design and is able to apply them. The student is able to implement projects related to city design.

The student is able to analyze and justify the role of the designer in urban planning. The student compares, analyzes, and utilizes essential information about urban design and urban design strategies. He has a good command of the use of concepts and methods that are central to urban design and is able to apply them in a variety of ways. The student has the ability to apply the learned knowledge in urban design and reflect on it. The student is able to implement urban design projects with others using participatory methods.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student critically evaluates and comprehensively justifies the role of the designer in urban planning. The student analyzes and critically evaluates relevant information and skillfully applies it to urban design and urban design strategies. He / she has an excellent command of the use of concepts and methods that are central to product and service design and is able to apply them in a versatile and innovative way. The student extensively masters the role of design and designer in the development of service products. The student has the ability to apply a wide range of learned information about project work in the development of service products and reflect on it. The student is able to produce new knowledge for the teaching. The student is able to implement product and service design projects in a variety of ways in cooperation with others.
