Evaluation methods and criteria
The course can be completed in two ways: 1) continuous evaluation (70% active participation in Zoom class and accepted obligatory tasks); 2) exam in the electronic exam hall only and accepted obligatory tasks.
Student workload
26 of hours of teaching, in addition independent work including written and oral home-work assignments.
Content scheduling
Russian letters and pronunciation. Situations: presentation, profession, ordering food in a cafe, greetings and farewells, orientation in the city, the days of the week, time of the day. Grammar: affirmative, negative and question phrases in present, nouns gender, possessive pronouns, Present tenses of verbs, grammar cases (nominative and prepositional), numerals.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at a minimum acceptable level. The student can interact satisfactorily both orally and in writing in communicative situations studied during the course. The student can limitedly use the achieved knowledge in new situations.

The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at a good level. The student can interact quiet fluently both orally and in writing in communicative situations studied during the course. The student can use the achieved knowledge in new situations with some limitations.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at an excellent level. The student can fluently interact both orally and in writing in various communicative situations. The student can confidently use the achieved knowledge in new situations.
Teaching methods
Language of instructions: Finnish, English and Russian. Accomplishment: attending the online lectures, online assignments and speaking tasks, accepted obligatory tasks.
Further information
No previous studies are necessary. Starting level 0, target level A1.1. Students speaking Russian as the mother tongue are not generally accepted to the course.
