Continuous assessment (written and oral obligatory tasks).

Student workload

14h distant lessons, about 67h of independent work including written and oral assignments.

Content scheduling

Situations: Russian business culture (introductions, phone calls, presentation of a company, receiving and sending messages, at the hotel during the business trip, my working day, business operations). Grammar: structures typical of business communication, expressing time, cases of nouns and adjectives in singular and plural, verbs' tenses, aspects.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at a minimum acceptable level. The student can interact satisfactorily both orally and in writing in communicative situations studied during the course. The student can limitedly use the achieved knowledge in new situations.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at a good level. The student can interact quiet fluently both orally and in writing in communicative situations studied during the course. The student can use the achieved knowledge in new situations with some limitations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at an excellent level. The student can fluently interact both orally and in writing in various communicative situations. The student can confidently use the achieved knowledge in new situations.

Teaching methods

Language of instructions: Finnish and Russian (also English if needed). Online learning: participating in online lectures, speaking tasks and accepted obligatory assignments.

Further information
