Tenttien ajankohdat ja uusintamahdollisuudet

This course is self-paced and the materials and exams open as the students proceed. There is an exam at the end of each chapter and a final exam after all other parts have been completed. Deadline for completing the course activities, assignments and chapter exams 11.12.2025. Students have 2 retakes for each chapter exam during the course (by 11.12.2025). Final exam is to be taken by 12.12.2025, Possibility to two final exam retakes until 31.1.2026.

Finnish business culture and communication will be presented and discussed and compared with other national cultures.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat

Recognition of prior learning. Contact the teacher in the beginning of the semester if you wish to demonstrate your competence as recognition of prior learning.

Graded assignments Assignment 1: introductions, pass/fail Assignment 2: National culture comparison, grading 1-5, 10% Assignment 3: Finnish business life and culture, grading 1-5, 10% Assignment 4 Organizational culture, deadline 11.12.2025 1-5, 10% There are also course tasks e.g. discussion activities and quizzes that need to be completed.

Sisällön jaksotus

Course start 20 October 2025 Independent study and course activity and assignment completion with an exam at the end of each Moodle chapter. All assignments and chapter exams to be completed by 11 December 2025. Final online exam on Moodle completed by 12 December 2025.

Opetusmenetelmät

This course is a virtual course with no synchronous meetings. Students study online at their own pace proceeding from a topic to the next learning by reading and viewing videos, completing activities, taking quizzes and exams. Students receive online teacher feedback and instruction on the course assignments as indicated in the assignment descriptions. Finnish Business Culture and Society course provides an orientation to the Finnish market and culture. The course materials provide theoretical and factual knowledge and practical examples of different phenomena.

Virtual instructed. Recognition of prior learning: The student can show the level of his/her prior learning. This has to be done in the beginning of the course. RPL will be evaluated by the responsible teacher and the criteria of the evaluation is how the student has been able to show that he/she meets the study goals and contents and what is the level of the knowledge

Finnish Business Culture and Society course provides an orientation to the Finnish market and culture. After taking this course students will have gained insights into Finnish culture and business life. Students study online at their own pace proceeding from one topic to another learning by reading and viewing videos, taking quizzes and exams. The course materials will provide theoretical and factual knowledge as well as practical examples of different phenomena.
