Location and time
The course can be completed mainly independently. Small groups should agree on a working schedule among themselves.
Materials
All the material needed for the course (videos, references for the tasks etc.) can be found on the Hoodle platform of the course in electronic form.
Evaluation methods and criteria
The course is assessed on a scale of 0-5. The assessment is based on the learning outcomes of the course. Students must demonstrate that they master at least 40% of the course objectives in order to be awarded credit. In addition to the assessment by lecturers, students comment on and peer-assess each other's assignments during the course.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
Student recognizes to some extent their own professional role in promoting diversity and pluralism in society and communities. Student is familiar with the key concepts of the course and the legal basis for the promotion of human rights, non-discrimination and equality. Student aims to apply what they have learned and act in a way that promotes diversity and equity However, the application and evaluation of student's own learning is limited.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
Student recognizes their own professional role in promoting diversity and pluralism in society and communities. Student has a good understanding of the key concepts of the course and the legal basis for promoting human rights, non-discrimination and equality. Student is able to apply what they have learned and act in a way that promotes diversity and equity. Student is able to evaluate their own learning well.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Student is well aware of their professional role in promoting diversity and pluralism in society and communities. Student has an excellent knowledge of the key concepts of the course and of the legal basis for promoting human rights, non-discrimination and equality. Student is able to apply their learning in multiple ways and to act in a way that promotes diversity and equality. Student is able to evaluate their own learning in a profound way.
Teaching methods
The course consists of various online materials and assignments (individual and small group). Students will complete some of the learning tasks in small groups and provide peer feedback to each other. Students are expected to actively participate and interact with other students.
