Learning outcomes

The student: - Understands the significance of projects in their field. - Understands the different stages of project implementation. - Is able to prepare a realistic budget for the project. - Knows different forms of project financing. - Is able to use project management tools.

Prerequisites

Previous studies are not required. This is a Learner level course.

Teaching methods

The course is completed by competing the assignments of the course. The course consists of various online materials and assignments. The course is completed independently.

Location and time

Online face-to-face learning: the workshops will take place in Zoom according to the timetable. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the workshops. It is therefore recommended that you take at least a pre-test before attending. The structure of the workshops is always the same, but the content is based on the work of the participants. It is recommended to attend at least one workshop. During the study period, it is recommended to participate in one worskhop webinar. You can choose from five different options, whichever is most suitable for you. Autumn 2024: 25.09.2024 12.30 - 15.00 27.11.2024 12.30 - 15.00 Spring 2025: 22.01.2025 12.30 - 15.00 12.03.2025 12.30 - 15.00 Summer 2025: 02.06.2025 09.00 - 10.00 - this session is an introduction to the course, assignments, etc. and an opportunity to ask questions about the course and get answers.

During the study period, the student gets to know a project in they own field.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is evaluated on a scale of passed - failed. Assessment is based on the learning objectives of the course. The student must demonstrate mastery of at least 40% of the objectives set in order to complete the course. There is no separate feedback for automatically evaluated tasks. Students comment and peer-evaluate each other's applied assignments. Self-assessment is guided in assignments.
