Competences are demonstrated through various learning tasks or exams during the course.
Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
All assignments are mandatory. The course is assessed on a numeric scale from 0 to 5. The final grade is based solely on the final task and self-evaluation. The teacher provides individual feedback only on the final task. Progress through the earlier modules is monitored, but peer feedback and interim tasks are not graded numerically.
Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus
5 CR = 27 hrs/CR x 5 CR = 135 hrs student hours of work. The content is divided into six modules, and it is recommended to reserve about one week for each module.

The course consists of the following modules and assignments: Module I – Understanding Digital Health (Digital Poster) Module II – Regulation on Medical Devices (One-Statement Argument Analysis + Peer Comment) Module III – Digitalization and Ethics in Health Care (Audio or Text Reflection) Module IV – Accessibility and Availability (Expert Presentation and Peer Comment) Module V – Client-Centered Digital Health (Critical Incident Report and Peer Comment) Module VI – Final Task and Self-Evaluation (Graded Assignment)

The student: Applies some course-related knowledge or legislation, but application may remain general or superficial. Identifies ethical or professional themes but does not analyze them in depth. Provides a brief or vague self-assessment. Limited reflection on learning or areas for development. Uses some sources, but referencing may be inconsistent or incomplete.
Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)
The student: Applies relevant knowledge and legislation with some interpretation and context-awareness. Explains how digital methods can support client-centered and safe care in specific contexts. Reflects on ethical and professional issues with some insight and personal perspective. Offers a structured and honest self-evaluation with some recognition of strengths and development needs. Uses relevant evidence-based sources, mostly correct referencing.

The student: Applies evidence-based knowledge and legislation clearly and insightfully, showing strong contextual understanding. Provides well-reasoned and reflective discussion of how digital solutions enhance client-centered, safe, and accessible care. Demonstrates mature and critical reflection on ethical and professional responsibilities, supported with relevant examples or literature. Provides a thoughtful and well-reasoned self-assessment, demonstrating self-awareness, growth, and clear development goals. Uses multiple, high-quality sources with consistent and correct Harvard referencing.
Opetusmenetelmät
This is a self-paced online course. You will explore modules independently. You will study modules and demonstrate your skills in a variety of learning activities. Although students can work independently, it is highly recommended to complete the modules in order.

Information for exchange students: This is a self-paced online course in Moodle. It can be joined usually at the outset of the autumn term (P1&2), spring term (P3&4), short-term in spring (P3) or (P4).
