Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet
All assignments are mandatory. The final grade is based solely on the final task and self-evaluation. The teacher provides individual feedback only on the final task. Although there is no individual feedback before the final assignment, you are encouraged to compare your work to the available examples and reflect on what you could improve. Progress through the earlier modules is monitored, but peer feedback and interim tasks are not graded numerically.
Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus
5 CR = 27 hrs/CR x 5 CR = 135 hrs student hours of work. The content is divided into five modules, and it is recommended to reserve about one week for each module.

Hylätty (0)
The final task is incomplete or does not demonstrate sufficient understanding of course content. No meaningful application of theory or tools. Lacks structure, clarity, justification, or personal contribution. Self-assessment is missing or inadequate. AI is misused (e.g., full AI generation without transparency).
Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)
The student demonstrates a basic understanding of patient safety. The final task meets the minimum requirements but remains superficial or overly general. Patient safety tools are mentioned but not meaningfully applied. The proposal may lack realism or clear justification. The role of human factors, systems, and teamwork is partially recognized. The self-assessment is brief or descriptive rather than reflective. AI use may be vague or underreported.
Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)
The student demonstrates a solid understanding of key patient safety concepts. The final task is clear, relevant, and generally well justified, though some parts may lack depth or integration of theory. Patient safety tools are used appropriately, though not always critically. The role of the system, human factors, and patient involvement is understood but may not be fully developed. The self-assessment includes reflection but could be more analytical. AI use is reported but not deeply discussed.
Arviointikriteerit, kiitettävä (5)
The student demonstrates a deep and holistic understanding of patient safety. The final task presents an insightful, realistic, and well-justified improvement proposal based on strong theoretical knowledge and evidence. Patient safety tools (e.g., RCA, CRM, Swiss Cheese Model) are integrated meaningfully. The role of human factors, system thinking, patient involvement, and teamwork are clearly understood and applied. The self-assessment shows critical reflection and honest evaluation of learning and performance. AI use is well documented and thoughtfully considered.
