Learning outcomes
You master phenomena related to climate change and you understand the possibilities of system thinking on tackling climate change. You are able to evaluate climate effects of different actors and activities and you will receive tools for future foresight. You know the basics of the calculation of greenhouse gas emission and you are able to develop and innovate actions on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. You recognise the importance of sustainable development and corporate and social responsibility in climate change mitigation. After the course you have find out new ways to evaluate climate impacts and promote sustainable measures and climate friendly operations.

- Climate change as a phenomenon, impacts of climate change, climate debate, link between climate change and other environmental problems - Climate policy as a driver - Greenhouse gas emissions and their sources - Basics of calculating greenhouse gas emissions - Climate change mitigation as a part of sustainable development - Climate change as a part of corporate and social responsibility

Student workload
Course is 3 credits which corresponds approximately to 81 hours of workload for the student. This is combined between studyinfgthe materials, writing a learning diary and making individual learning exercises.
