As a student, you understand, remember and can explain the key basic concepts of service design. Your chosen development project is current and justified. Your output is a concrete development proposal. You have familiarized yourself with the information base related to the challenge and you will use it in the development proposal. The sources used are visible but references are incomplete.AI has been used per the course instructions.

You can analyze and evaluate the key basic concepts of service design. Your chosen development project is current and justified. In the output, you respond to the set goals and a concrete development proposal is created. Your solutions are justified. You have familiarized yourself with the information base related to the project and will use it in the development proposal. The sources used are visible and source criticality has been observed in their use. Your output includes analysis of theory and practice as well as your own reflection. AI has been used per the course instructions.

As a student, you can create information and relationships that are relevant to the phenomenon and to yourself. The development project you choose is current and justified. In your output, you respond to the set goals and create a concrete development proposal. Your solutions are widely justified and comprehensively analyzed. You have familiarized yourself with the data base related to the challenge, and you use it extensively in your development proposal. You have acquired a wide variety of information sources and used them by analyzing and applying them. The sources you use are visible and source criticality has been observed in their use. An analysis of theory and practice, your own reflection and conclusions have been included in your output. AI has been used per the course instructions.

Teaching methods

In service design studies, you learn to define the entirety of service design, develop services through service design methods and identify different customer needs and service models. Service design is based on design thinking, where individual cases and general models are applied to build understanding and knowledge about the participation of customers, users and service providers in the service process. The purpose of this approach is to design services that balance the needs of the customer, the user, and the business in a way that creates a quality service experience. The process of service design can be seen as repeated steps of searching, defining, developing and implementing. Key contents to be learned are service, service design, customer-oriented description of service, service events, service meeting points, service experience, service usefulness, service usability and service desirability. The study course is implemented at different times online. You study completely according to your own schedule and possibilities. The course is not recommended to be taken during the 1st study year.
