Objective

The student becomes familiar with community service planning in practice. This can be the design and implementation of a community service, a communications design that utilises existing community services, or a strategic approach to communication. The student is able to work as an expert in their field in a multidisciplinary group.

Content

The student works in a project and chooses a new professional role that the student has not previously explored. The role can be, for example, one of these: technology manager, project manager, user interface and usability designer, concept and content production manager, and community communications designer.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student understands what is involved in the designing and production of a community service or communication in a client project. The student perceives their skill level. The student uses their collaboration and communication skills and applies them in project work and decision making. The student can solve problems with the group. The student contributes satisfactorily to the creation of the final product.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student applies their skills in designing and producing a community service or communication in a client project and can reflect on their skills. The student makes appropriate use of their collaboration and communication skills and utilises them in project work and decision making. The student is able to self-direct and solve problems creatively. The student develops practical solutions for the needs of the client.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student applies their skills in designing and producing a community service or communication in a client project. The student is able to reflect on their skills in various areas. The student develops their collaboration and communication skills appropriately and utilises them in project work and decision making. The student is proactive, self-directed and creative in problem solving. The student develops practical and creative solutions for the needs of the client.
