Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students are able to:
• recognize the central principles and activities of circular economy, and its benefits from environmental, social and economic viewpoints.
• describe the different viewpoints and operations of circular economy in the clothing industry.
• describe the principles and different sectors of clothing industry standards as well as their functions, and recognize the UAS online services of the standardization union as part studies in this field.
• describe CE standards.
Content
Principles and activities of circular economy from the point of view of sustainable development, benefits and advantages of circular economy to the society and clothing organizations. Eco-design, sustainable consumption, extending service life and the efficient management of material or product end-of-life. Circular economy standards and the stages of development activities. Familiarization with the standards influencing the clothing industry, and searching for the standards from the online service. Business models of circular economy in the clothing industry.
