Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to apply different methods of improvisation, body percussion, game pedagogy and composing pedagogy in their work. The student becomes acquainted with digital applications for music teaching. The student understands concepts of creativity research and recognizes manifestations and possibilities of creative teaching in the work of a music educator. They are able to support creativity in learning, in individuals and in groups.
The student is able to apply music pedagogical skills in different cooperation and operation environments, such as working life contexts which make use of participatory art. The student is able to guide their growth in creative and inspirational teaching and build the capacity for continuous learning to develop skills and identity for life-long work.
Content
Pedagogical functional lectures (e.g. body percussion, creativity, element improvisation, game pedagogy, applied improvisation). Writing a reflection log in which the student observes the development of their professional identity as a teacher and ponders how to apply in their work what they have seen, heard and learned. Getting familiar with the music pedagogue´s tasks in projects or in other tasks which require applied skills.
Prerequisites
Instrument Group Tuition and Pedagogy of Improvisation course or equivalent skills.

Attendance, assignments and diary are parts of course. Absence will be compensated by learning assignment.
