Learning outcomes
The student is able to apply theoretical, practical and experiential knowledge and skills in planning one-to-one-, ensemble or group tuition, implementation and analysis. They are able to create meaningful learning situations using functional methods within the scope of basic education in art even without their own instrument.
The student is able to guide the learning and performance of ensembles (band, chamber music ensemble, vocal ensemble, and choir) with an encouraging and strength-supportive pedagogical approach. They are able to create functioning ensembles, to choose or to compose suitable repertoire for them and to guide different instruments of the group.
Content
The common content of basic art education (composing, improvisation, listening to and perceiving music), creative group activities and related teaching practice and guidance (either autumn or spring). Basics of band pedagogy and teaching practice differentiated according to the student´s orientation. Either advanced instrument practice and guidance or band practice and guidance according to the student’s choice.
