Objective

On completion of the course the student can
- identify the opportunities of technological development and their impact regarding cultural productions and work
- harness technology and the potential of digitalization in cultural management
- master the tools and methods available for digital production
- contribute to the development of technological solutions and tools in the cultural industry
- search for and apply data protection and privacy information to practice

Materials

Learning materials are in Moodle. This course has several modules.

Most learning materials are in English. This course is possible to take in English as the leactures can be replaced with literary materials and visits.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student recognizes the potential of technological development and its effects on cultural productions and work. The student utilizes technology and digitalization opportunities to a satisfactory degree in cultural productions. The student has a satisfactory command of the tools and methods available for digital production, and is able to contribute to the development of technological solutions and tools for the cultural industry. They are able to search for information on data protection and privacy.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student recognizes the potential of technological development and its effects on cultural productions and work. The student makes good use of technology and the opportunities offered by digitalization in cultural productions. The student is well versed in the tools and methods available for digital production, and is able to contribute to the development of technological solutions and tools in the cultural industry. They are able to independently search for and apply to practise information on data protection and privacy.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student recognizes the potential of technological development and its effects on cultural productions and work. The student makes excellent use of technology and digitalization opportunities in cultural productions. The student is proficient in using the tools and methods available in digital production. The student independently develops technological solutions or tools for use in the cultural industry. They are able to independently search for and apply to practise information on data protection and privacy.

The student identifies the possibilities and effects of technological development on production and work. The student utilizes satisfactorily the opportunities provided by technology and digitalization . He/ she masters satisfactorily tools and methods of digital productions and is able to contribute to the development of technological solutions and tools in the cultural field. He / she is able to search for data protection and security information.
Good
The student identifies the possibilities and effects of technological development on production and work. The student makes good use of technology and digitalization in cultural production. He has a good command of the methods used in digital production and is able to contribute to the development of technological solutions and tools used in the cultural field. He / she is able to independently search for and apply data protection and security information to practices.
Excellent
The student identifies the possibilities and effects of technological development on production and work. The student utilizes exceptionally good the opportunities provided by technology and digitalization in cultural productions. He/ she has an excellent command of tools and methods needed in digital production. The student independently develops technological solutions or tools needed in the field of culture. He / she is able to independently search and apply data protection and security information practices.
