Objective

Students will recognize abusive behaviour and violence as individual, communal and societal phenomena. They will be aware of the risks of abuse and domestic violence at different ages. Students will know how to initiate con-versation and support the different parties of abuse and domestic violence, also referring them to expert services when necessary.

Content

Abuse and intimate partner violence as individual, communal and societal phenomena. Abuse and violence and their risks at different ages. Honour crimes. Victims of of human trafficking. Legislation and services related to intimate partner and domestic violence. Initiating conversation with clients and empowering interaction.

15.03.2021 12.45 - 16.00 MPB1005 Orientation for entire group. 5 of the lectures are in Finnish and five in English with same themes. You can see your English lectures in your calendar, but you can join the Finnish lectures alternatively (if speak Finnish).
