Objective

The students can identify the mainstreams of the historical development in live performance productions and performing arts. They understand the connection between the current live performance production its earlier history. The students can outline the main features of past live performance productions to the present day. They can critically evaluate the present state of their field and future aspects with respect to history. The students are able to analyze live performances they see: they can name, describe and relate to each other different elements of a live performance, especially from the point of view of elements related to live performance engineering. The students are able to acquire information related to the history of live performance arts.

The course requires at least 80% attendance. The procedure for replacing the absence is agreed with the teacher in charge of the course unit. The schedule of the course can be found in Lukkari.
