English and the Second Domestic Language: Early Childhood Music Education and Community Music:
English:
In study and work-related settings, students and graduates can
- acquire and critically comment on advanced professional knowledge and share it effectively with other music specialists
- introduce and justify pedagogical solutions convincingly
- design syllabuses and community music projects in constructive interaction with their peers and other parties
- communicate appropriately, clearly and confidently in various roles related to teaching and projects
Learning outcomes are aligned to the CEFR levels B2 and C1.

English and the Second Domestic Language: Instrument and Voice Teaching
English:
In study and work-related settings, students and graduates can

English and the Second Domestic Language: Music Writing and Production
English:
In study and work-related settings, settings, students and graduates can
- acquire and critically comment on advanced professional knowledge and share it effectively with other music specialists
- introduce their artistic work with confidence
- explain and evalute technical solutions in detail
- communicate confidently, clearly and appropriately in various roles related to music writing and production
Learning outcomes are aligned to the CEFR levels B2 and C1.

Second Domestic Language (Swedish/Finnish)
Students and graduates are able to communicate in Swedish/Finnish in study and work-related settings.
They are able to acquire professional knowledge from various sources and convey information both orally and in writing.
Students develop a positive and realistic view of their language and communication skills as well as a motivation to improve their competence.

The students acquire the written and oral language skills in the second domestic language that are necessary in their professional field, as required by national legislation (352/2003 8§).
Learning outcomes are aligned to the CEFR levels B1.

Content

English and the Second Domestic Language:
- Authentic study and work-related tasks and activities
- English: 2 ECTS credits
- Swedish: 3 ECTS credits

lecture, practice in pairs and small groups, learning assignments

Location and time

English lessons 5.5. - 26.5, Tuesday and Thursday at 3-6 pm. Teaching will take place at Hämeentie 161, H150. Return assignments due June 5th.
