Objective

After completing the course, the student will have a basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and its role in business operations.

2. Product Information Management as a Part of Product Lifecycle Management and its Significance in the Company's Business

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to describe the principles of product life cycle management. The student will be able to list examples of product lifecycle management features and their uses, and be able to list opportunities and limitations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to describe the special features of product life cycle management extensively, also outside his / her area of expertise. The student will be able to list several examples of product lifecycle management and know the specifics and limitations of product lifecycle management. The student understands the principle of product life cycle management and is able to utilize it in simple tasks. The student understands the meaning of the titles and is able to apply the knowledge they have learned. The student understands the meanings and differences of product structures. The student will be able to compare different systems and choose functional solutions for application areas.

The student is able to describe the special features of product life cycle management extensively, also outside his / her area of expertise. The student will be able to list several examples of product lifecycle management and know the specifics and limitations of product lifecycle management. The student understands the meanings and differences of product structures and is able to apply the knowledge they have learned. The student is able to compare different systems with each other and to choose functional solutions for the application with good success.
