Learning outcomes

After the course, the students can :
• use the standardized measurement charts for men.
• understand the connection between the measurement points of the body and size systems.
• investigate pattern making for different product groups in men’s clothing. Can apply established technical solutions with respect to making the product.

Content

Studying the currently used standardized measurement charts and the size systems used in men’s clothing. Pattern making, fitting and making the basic pieces of men’s clothing using established methods. A presentation is made, which depicts the work made in class with alterations; also the learning experiences are depicted in writing.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites:
Clothing technology, fundamentals of pattern making, pattern making for indoor clothing.
