Learning outcomes
After completing the studies the student understands the purpose of planning the teaching and is able to plan one-to-one tuition flexibly and in a learner-centered way alone and in a peer team. The student is able to use typical methods of music education and of one-to-one tuition in their main instrument. They understand the basic ethical principles of an instrument teacher.
The student understands diversity of learning processes and is able to analyze observations of the learner’s performance. They understand factors affecting musical interaction and are able to use this understanding in their teaching.
Content
Positive pedagogy, different learners, teacher´s ethics, pedagogical interaction. Instrument teaching practice (one-to-one tuition, one learner), observation. Reflection alone and in a group.
Prerequisites
Introduction to Learning and Teaching Music course or equivalent skills.

The topics, place and schedule of general lectures can be found in the workspace.
Teachers will announce the exact times for pedagogical lectures. In schedule there is a reservation on Mondays at 13-16 pm.
Schedule of teacher training will be announced by the supervising teacher.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) based on working life experience or previous higher education studies.
Self-study material can be found in the workspace after the lectures.
