Learning outcomes

Students will be able to motivate and activate communities through expressive, interactive activities. They will be able to support and guide creative processes that improve quality of life for individuals and communities. Students will recognize the possibilities of creative methods in improving emotional skills. Students will know how to plan, implement and assess creative activities aimed at creating change.

Content

Expressive methods as a means of analysing reality and sharing meaning. Creative methods to strengthen group formation. Goal-oriented support of participants’ agency and cultural diversity. Creative methods as a means of exploring self-awareness and new perspectives. Actors of applied arts and multi-professional co-operation. Arts and well-being.

Further information for students

In this study unit the learning is based on active participation in contact lessons (either live at Myllypuro Campus or ZOOM workshops), study visits and individual or group learning assignments. The learning is based on communication and interaction.The student will create a Creative methods toolbox in a website as a Home group project (See assignments in OMA).

The participation in the contact lessons (ZOOM or live) (80%/ each subject area) are required. Compulsory attendance on the * "star" marked lessons.The evaluation on learning is done through the creative methods activities.
