Objective

After completing the course the student will have gained experience in communication and marketing. The student will receive practical experience of introducing Metropolia’s degree programmes on school visits and at other events. The student will be familiar with the Finnish education system, the educational field of Universities of Applied Sciences (Polytechnics) and Metropolia’s own faculties and degree programmes. The student will also have become familiar with different applicant groups and the specific nature of these: degree programmes conducted in Finnish and English and partly also degree programmes in adult education.

Content

The student will take part in introduction lectures, school visits, fairs and other events. To gain 1-3 credits the student needs to complete a total of 25-75 hours of work, which can spread out during the entire study period.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Student has taken part to the introduction lectures and school visits, fairs and other promotion activities. Student has also kept a list of the hours spent on promotion activities.
