Learning outcomes

This course will provide an introduction to the important concepts in statistics with programming examples to make the connection between concepts and implementation. The focus throughout the course will be on developing an understanding of the rationale, the correct interpretation, and the appropriate applications of some of the most commonly used statistical techniques. The course will also familiarize students with essential software tools and techniques to acquire, prepare and visualize data for further statistical modeling and analysis.
