Teaching methods

The course takes the form of an online course.
The learning environments of the course are Moodle and Zoom.

The course includes distance learning, independent and teamwork, discussions and written assignments.
The student will receive instructions on how to log in to the Moodle workspace from the teacher in charge by e-mail before the start of the course.

- The course progresses by subject area within the implementation time
- approx. 3 meetings in Zoom as a remote contact / lecture (a 3h)
- Independent work according to Moodle workspace assignments between online appointments

This elective online studies can be chosen by the student after completing the course on oral and adult oral health.

The basics of aesthetic dental care studies are recommended for students coming from outside the Metropolia University of applied sciences.

Active participation in remote meetings and online discussions. Completion of learning assignments and return by the deadline given at the beginning of the course.

Students:
- understand of the importance of the aestetic treatments process in health promotion
- are familiar with current whitening processes
- recognize new aestetic treatments and know how to evaluate the right process to the patient
- have increased in the sales and markets of whitening treatments
- have increased own learning online and evidence based information

Assessment methods and criteria

Opiskelija palauttaa määräaikaan mennessä kaikki 4. moduulitehtävät ja on mukana orientaatiossa, päätösseminaarissa ja ryhmätehtävän tekemisessä.

Opiskelija saa suorituksen noin. 4 viikon kuluessa seminaarista, huomioiden, että kaikki tehtävät on palautettu.

Lisäksi opiskelija antaa palautetta moodlen kautta opintojakson päättyessä.
