Objective

The student
• is able to choose the right materials for construction
• knows the most common materials and the influence of heat treatment, alloying and coating
• understands the essential techniques of sheet work and welding and is able to choose suitable methods for different products and situations.

• Material selection for construction, the effect of alloying, heat treatment and coating on material properties and chemical corrosion
• Welding procedures
• Sheet metal works
