Objective
The student
• understands the significance of point-of-care testing as part of the patient's treatment process, and the different stages of the point-of-care examination process
• is able to describe the legislation governing point-of-care testing
• takes high-quality point-of-care samples
• describes the principles of different methods and use point-of-care equipment
• assesses the reliability of results
• services point-of-care equipment
• names the key concepts of quality assurance and act accordingly
• analyses the different areas, current situation and future of health technology and their significance in health care laboratory work
• foresees advances in health technology in your personal area of expertise and know how to apply this knowledge nationally and internationally
• understands the importance of induction in point-of-care testing
• guides health care professionals in the choice, use and quality assurance of point-of-care equipment
• identify point-of-care analytics and the principles of sustainable development from a financial and ecological viewpoint.
