Objective
The student
• is able to use the basic equipment in the laboratory safely and correctly
• masters the basic techniques of laboratory work
• understands the importance of equipment maintenance in terms of asepsis and clinical laboratory work
• is able to select the tools on the basis of use and the principles of sustainable development
• is familiar with the key content of occupational safety in health care from the viewpoint of clinical laboratory work regulated by chemical legislation. Is able to comply with occupational safety regulations, and maintains occupational safety through their own action
• understands how disposable items and unnecessary chemicals are disposed of and how to keep wastage to a minimum
• understands the importance of quality assurance in laboratory methods.
