Objective

After the course, the student will be able to identify the most common fire suppression systems, describe their operating principles, and assess their functionality. Student can describe the components of a sprinkler system. Additionally, the student will understand the basics of sprinkler system design, implementation, and operation.

Content

Fire suppression systems. Sources of water for fire suppression and piping materials. Components and operating principles of sprinkler systems. Purposes of pumps, pipes, and valves.
