Materials

The learning materials will be provided at the beginning of the course.

Teaching methods

During the course, students will study learning skills, explore informational material on the topic, work in groups, give presentations, get to know Metropolia’s learning environments, engage in discussions about learning, and complete communication-related exercises.

Any optional completion methods will be negotiated with the teacher.

Student workload

The course requires two weeks of on-campus participation, after which the student will complete a final assignment independently according to their own schedule.

Content scheduling

On campus from August 18 to August 29. The independent assignment must be submitted no later than September 30.

The student

• is able to participate in communication and interaction situations and produce comprehensible texts
• is able to identify some information security threats and take them into account when processing information
• is able to use AI tools for basic tasks.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• is able to work fluently in the learning environment and use the necessary information systems
• is able to identify different learning and study skills and to set objectives for their studies
• participates actively in communication and interaction situations and produces clear, professional texts
• identified common information security threats and is able to address them when processing information
• is able to use AI tools.

The student
