The student will recognize different energy production methods and their role in the energy system now and in the future.
Sisältö
Welcome to explore the energy transition, the (Finnish) energy system, and various forms of renewable energy.
This online course consists of six sections, where you will get acquainted with what the energy sector looks like now and in the future, and why Finnish expertise can be important globally.
The course provides an overview of current and future energy technologies. You will explore different energy production systems. You will learn about energy consumption, storage, and demand flexibility. You will get familiar with the electricity and heat markets in Finland.
The course will cover how the energy system is transforming in the coming years due to the energy revolution and the green transition.

All written assignments must be submitted, participation in group discussions is required, and you must achieve 80% of the points from the exams to pass the course. You can track your progress through the progress tracker bar. Once all tasks visible in the progress tracker have been completed successfully, the course is considered completed, and you can receive a certificate for the course
