Student
- is familiar with the field, study environment and study group
- is familiar with Metropolia's practices and identifies the key study-related guidelines and regulations at Metropolia UAS
- recognises the responsibilities and rights as a student and understands the study and work methods required for the degree
- is familiar with the opportunities provided by the degree programme’s curriculum and the competencies developed through the degree
- is able to assess own skills, set professional goals, and to create an initial version of their Personal Study Plan (PSP)
- can use the most common software and systems needed for studying
- understands the key principles of data protection and the use of artificial intelligence
- understands the dimensions of sustainable development
Content
- Guidelines, regulations and practices related to studying in a university of applied sciences
- Physical and digital learning environment, learning principles, and methods within the degree programme
- Key digital tools and information systems used in learning and working in the degree programme
- Principles of data protection and artificial intelligence
- Competences provided by the degree, curriculum and study planning (RPL, PSP)
- Identifying strengths and areas of improvement in learning
- Sustainable development
The course includes: 1 credit Sustainable development (U!REKA SHIFT), 0.5 credit Artificial intelligence driving licence and 1.5 credit other IT -studies.
