Objective

After completing the mathematics part of the course, you will understand the concept of derivative and you will be able to use derivative to find the rate of change of a function and draw function graphs. You will understand the concepts of integral function and definite integral. You will be able to use the most common integration methods and calculate definite integrals numerically. You will be able to apply integral calculus in practical situations.

After completing the physics part of the course, you will know the basics of nuclear and radiation physics, with application to radon prevention. You will be able to work safely in the laboratory and perform simple physical measurements. You will be able to identify the most important sources of measurement uncertainty, calculate the final results and assess the reliability and significance of the results.
